What is reacHIRE?
From the reacHIRE pages HiringReach read on October 1, 2026, reacHIRE is a Massachusetts company that started in returnships and now leads with leadership development. Its careers listing on iCIMS says "reacHIRE was founded in 2013 by Addie Swartz to empower women in the workplace." reacHIRE's LinkedIn company page lists it under Human Resources Services in Concord, MA, with 10,995 followers when HiringReach's research pack captured it.
The reacHIRE homepage today is about AI, not returners. Its headline is "AI Can't Transform What People Aren't Ready to Change," and the page sells Aurora. Returnships sit lower down, described as the "legacy" that Aurora grew out of. That is why many people searching "reachire" land on a page that does not mention going back to work until halfway down. The reacHIRE About page sums up the two businesses in one line: Aurora programs "develop the leaders and workforce you already have," and Return-to-Work programs "rebuild your talent pipeline with proven professionals."

| Program | Who it is for | Who pays | Length and format |
|---|---|---|---|
| reacHIRE Return-to-Work program | Professionals back from a career break of 2+ years | The partner employer runs the program. The returner is paid. No returner fee is listed | 6 months, full-time, paid, in a cohort at the employer |
| reacHIRE Aurora | Mid-career managers, directors and technologists inside one company | The employer. No price is listed | Typically 6 months, fully virtual, about 1 to 2 hours a week |
| HiringReach | A job seeker who wants to write to the hiring manager for a role | You. Starter $49/mo after a successful work email reveal or from day 8 unless canceled first; 7-day trial, card required | Web app with a Chrome extension. No placement, no cohort |
How reacHIRE returnship programs work
On every reacHIRE page HiringReach read, a reacHIRE returnship is a paid job, not a course. reacHIRE's Return to Work Talent Community listing on iCIMS says participants are "supported through a 6-month, full-time, paid internship with one of our corporate partners." HiringReach found the same terms on the reacHIRE Fidelity page: "6-month, full-time, paid roles at Fidelity Investments."
The reacHIRE page for returners lays out four steps: apply, onboard with a cohort of peers, contribute in a paid role with coaching, then relaunch. The employer side adds what happens behind the scenes. reacHIRE defines the roles with the employer, then says "We source, screen, and prepare candidates," starts the returners together as a cohort, meets with returners and their managers along the way, and works toward conversion to full-time employment.
The support reacHIRE lists for returners:
- A cohort. You start alongside other returners at the same employer. reacHIRE's iCIMS listing says you "re-enter the workforce with a team of professionals navigating the same transition."
- A dedicated Program Manager. The iCIMS listing says this person provides monthly coaching and holds you accountable to your goals. The Fidelity page names the Program Manager for that program.
- Training. Workshops, skill refreshers and career coaching on the returner page, plus interview and resume preparation and skills-based training on the Fidelity page.
Who can apply to a reacHIRE returnship?
HiringReach found reacHIRE's eligibility line on its iCIMS listing: "If you have taken a 2+ year career break and feel that you have a background that could align with our future roles... please share your resume with us." These are the roles reacHIRE says it typically recruits for, word for word from that listing:
- Project and risk work: Project Management, and Audit/Risk Managers.
- Finance and data: Financial Analysts, and Data Analysts.
- Engineering: Software Engineers (front end, back end, full stack), and QA Engineers.
- Operations.
Two limits matter before you apply. reacHIRE says it "is unable to sponsor program participants for the duration of our Return-to-Work programs," so a reacHIRE returnship is not a route to visa sponsorship. And reacHIRE's employer page describes the programs as being for "mid-to-senior professionals," so a reacHIRE returnship is built for people with real experience before the break, not for a first job.
The reacHIRE Fidelity returnship interest forms (October 1, 2026)
The one employer program HiringReach found linked from reacHIRE's returner page on October 1, 2026 was at Fidelity Investments. The reacHIRE Fidelity page calls it "a supported, paid return-to-work experience" and lists Express Interest forms for five locations:
- Smithfield, RI
- Merrimack, NH
- Westlake, TX
- Covington, KY
- Jersey City, NJ
The reacHIRE Fidelity page lists the highlights as 6-month, full-time, paid roles, "Real work on real teams," and a cohort with other returners. The forms say "Express Interest," and the page asks "Interested in future opportunities at Fidelity?" The linked iCIMS interest form says recruitment for the next program has not begun, and submitting interest is not an application to a specific role. Treat the form as a way to be considered for future opportunities.
How to apply to reacHIRE
reacHIRE offers three ways in, and HiringReach found they do different things:
- A program page. When a reacHIRE program has a specific role open, apply on its page. On October 1, 2026, the Fidelity page linked from "Explore opportunities" on reachire.com's returner page offered interest forms only. Its iCIMS form said recruitment for the next program had not begun.
- The reacHIRE Returner Community. A form on reachire.com to "stay informed for future program launches and events."
- The Return to Work Talent Community on iCIMS. This is the careers-reachire.icims.com link that ranks for "reachire". Read the fine print: reacHIRE says it "does not represent an actual open job," and "reacHIRE's recruitment team will not reach out regarding your application to the Talent Community." Your resume stays on file for future programs.
So if no reacHIRE program matches you today, joining the reacHIRE talent community is a wait, not an application. Keep looking in parallel. If you already know the companies you want to go back to, the HiringReach guide to finding the hiring manager behind a posting shows how to reach the person who owns a role, career break or not.
reacHIRE results: what the numbers on its site say
reacHIRE publishes outcome figures for its returnships, and HiringReach copied them as displayed on October 1, 2026. reacHIRE does not say how it measured them, and HiringReach has not verified any of them.
- 87% of returners convert to full-time roles (returner, employer and returnship pages).
- 92% of returners stay two years or longer (returnship programs page). The employer page words it as a "92% retention rate reported two years post-program."
- 1000+ professionals relaunched into roles (returnship programs and About pages).
Some reacHIRE pages also show "Trusted by 500+ clients (4.9/5)" next to placeholder labels such as "Service Design" and "Presentation Decks" that look like website template text. HiringReach left that figure out of this review because the reacHIRE pages do not say what it measures.
What is reacHIRE Aurora?
HiringReach's short answer: reacHIRE Aurora is a leadership program a company buys for its own staff, so a job seeker cannot join it. The reacHIRE FAQ calls Aurora "reacHIRE's leadership transformation program" for "mid-career managers, directors, and technologists at companies navigating significant change, including major AI initiatives." HiringReach pulled the details from that FAQ:
- Cohorts from one company, guided by "former senior executives" reacHIRE calls Guides, who also run 1:1s.
- Typically 6 months, about 1 to 2 hours a week, fully virtual.
- An AI Hub with two tools, an Action Planner and an AI Mentor.
The "Aurora Login" link on reachire.com goes to aurora.reachire.com and is for people already enrolled through their employer. reacHIRE shows no Aurora price; the site asks companies to get in touch.
Is reacHIRE legit, and is a reacHIRE returnship worth it?
HiringReach's view is that reacHIRE is legit in the plain sense: a company with a named founder and CEO, Addie Swartz, a public program at Fidelity Investments, and a careers site on iCIMS. HiringReach found no fee for returners on any reacHIRE page, and the roles are paid.
Whether a reacHIRE returnship is worth it depends on fit. HiringReach's read of reacHIRE's own pages:
- A good fit if you have 2+ years out, mid-to-senior experience in one of the functions reacHIRE recruits for, US work authorization of your own, and can work full-time near one of the partner's locations. The cohort and Program Manager are the parts a solo job search does not give you.
- Not the fit if you need sponsorship, if your field is not on the reacHIRE list, or if you cannot wait for a cohort to open. reacHIRE says its team is "normally recruiting on specific programs at any given time," so timing is out of your hands.
Best returnship programs in the USA for 2026: reacHIRE and where else to look
reacHIRE is one of several organizations that run or list returnships, and HiringReach does not rank them because no one publishes comparable outcome data. LinkedIn's "Similar pages" next to reacHIRE included iRelaunch and Path Forward, and HiringReach read both homepages on October 1, 2026.

| Organization | What it does for returners | How you use it | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| reacHIRE | Runs paid 6-month cohort returnships with partner employers | Apply to a specific open role, express interest in a future program, or join its talent community | Fidelity offered interest forms on October 1, 2026; recruitment for its next program had not begun. No sponsorship |
| Path Forward | Resources for people returning after caregiving, a Returnship Matcher, and a directory it describes as "all U.S. returnship programs" | Search the directory, then apply to each employer's program | Lists programs across many employers, not one partner at a time |
| iRelaunch | Career reentry company since 2007, with a job board, a list of return to work programs and events | Browse the job board and program list, or attend an event | Lists 330+ employer partners. Its Return to Work Conference runs October 6 to 8, 2026 |
| HiringReach | Not a returnship. Finds the hiring manager who likely owns a role you choose | Pick a company and role, reveal the work email, write one note | Starter $49/mo after a successful work email reveal or from day 8 unless canceled first; 7-day trial, card required |
A returnship is one route back. Most people coming back from a break still apply to regular roles too. The full HiringReach map of tools, boards and outreach options is in its ranking of the best job search tools for 2026.
reacHIRE vs HiringReach
reacHIRE and HiringReach share a sound-alike name and nothing else. They are separate companies, and the HiringReach homepage keeps a side by side of every "reach hire" company for that reason. reacHIRE works for employers: it recruits returners into programs an employer has paid to run. HiringReach works for you: you pick a company and role and HiringReach suggests the person most likely to own it, or you add a name you already have, and the title match is labelled a guesstimate. When an email or mobile is found it is triple-verified, and a reveal that finds nothing is not charged. You send one short note from your own inbox, and the HiringReach guide to writing a cold email to a hiring manager covers what to say.
HiringReach pricing, from the plans on the HiringReach homepage: a 7-day Starter trial with a card required and $0 today. The trial includes one Guess the owner, and AI is capped at 2 job reads, 2 resume scores and 2 rewrites. Revealing a work email ends the trial and starts HiringReach Starter at $49 a month for 20 work emails. If you never reveal a work email, cancel before day 8 and you are not billed. HiringReach Pro is $99 a month for 40 work emails and 10 mobiles, and mobiles are not in the trial. HiringReach has no phone app. Every other tool HiringReach has looked at is in the HiringReach reviews of job search tools.
