What is Reach Recruiting?
From the Reach Recruiting pages HiringReach read on October 2, 2026, Reach Recruiting is a small, hospitality-only recruiting agency. Its homepage headline is "Your Boutique Hospitality Recruitment Partner," and its About page says it was "Founded by Angela Garozzo Scopelianos," who grew up working at her family's restaurant, Garozzo's Ristorante in Kansas City, studied Hospitality Management at Cornell University and later worked for the Hillstone Group. The footer on every Reach Recruiting page lists one business address: 25 S Arizona PL 5th floor, Chandler, AZ 85225. Reach Recruiting's LinkedIn company page lists it under Staffing and Recruiting in Phoenix, Arizona, with 3,743 followers when HiringReach's research pack captured it.
The Reach Recruiting team page names six people, and most of them come from restaurant operations rather than corporate recruiting:
- Angela Scopelianos, Founder. Cornell Hospitality Management, a culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of America, then Hillstone.
- Jacob Cole, Principal Recruiter and Coach. Eight years in culinary management at Hillstone Restaurant Group, then Culinary Director for Ethos Hospitality in Cleveland. Based in Indianapolis.
- Haley Slater, Business and Recruitment Manager. More than 20 years in hotels and restaurants, based in Dallas.
- Baca Sampaga, Recruiter. 16 years at Hillstone Restaurant Group, based in Atlanta.
- Iltzeh Izaguirre and Brooke Zar, executive assistants, in Chandler, AZ and New Orleans.
The Reach Recruiting Companies Overview page lists the sectors it recruits for: restaurants, hotels and resorts, private clubs, senior living, "Real estate & Hospitality" (event venues, investment firms, cruise lines and casinos) and technology. For technology roles, Reach Recruiting says it "is part of the A1A Technology Recruiting team."

The rest of this HiringReach review covers the first row, the Arizona hospitality firm, because it holds most of the top results for "reach recruiting." The Hull row has its own write-up: HiringReach's review of Reach Recruitment, formerly Reach Resourcing covers its company record, temp jobs and candidate costs. If you landed here looking for "reach hire" instead, the HiringReach homepage keeps a side by side of the companies called reach hire, including reacHIRE.
Reach Recruiting jobs: what was on the board on October 2, 2026
The "Available Jobs" button on reach-recruiting.com links to a careers portal hosted by Top Echelon, and HiringReach read its first page on October 2, 2026. It listed more than 20 openings, with more on later pages. Nearly all were marked Direct Hire, which means the employer hires you onto its own payroll rather than through the agency. The roles were restaurant and hospitality leadership, for example:
- Restaurant and general management: Restaurant Manager and General Manager in Midland, Texas; General Manager in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Senior Manager in Los Angeles; Operations Manager in Kansas City, Missouri; a General Manager in New York.
- Kitchen leadership: Executive Chef in Detroit, Tempe, Louisville and Kansas City; Sous Chef in Midland; Director of Culinary in Detroit and Denver; Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef in Aspen, Colorado; Sushi Chef in Louisville.
- Clubs and executive roles: Food and Beverage Manager at a members-only golf club in the Texas Panhandle, and a Chief Operating Officer in Kansas City.
Most Reach Recruiting listings describe the employer ("a high-volume, culture-driven restaurant concept") without naming it, which is normal for an agency. One listing, in Overland Park, Kansas, showed a salary of $65,000 to $80,000 a year. Listings change daily, so treat this as a snapshot, not a current list.
How Reach Recruiting works for job seekers, and what HiringReach found it costs
Reach Recruiting's Candidates FAQ answers the cost question directly: "As a job seeker, there is no cost to you. Our fees are paid by the employers who hire us to find outstanding candidates like you." HiringReach found the candidate process on the same page in three steps:
- Reach Recruiting gets to know you. Its FAQ says it starts by "understanding your career goals."
- It matches you with employers in its network. The Reach Recruiting FAQ adds a condition worth reading closely: "If we have a role that fits you, we provide personal career coaching."
- It coaches you before interviews. The Candidates page lists interview preparation, resume polish and job market guidance.
To apply, use the "Submit Resume" button on the Reach Recruiting Available Jobs page, which opens the Contact Us form, or apply to a listing on the Top Echelon portal. The contact form asks for name, email, phone, company, subject and a message, and says "If you are a candidate looking for a job, please submit your resume as well."
That condition in step 2 is the part to understand about any agency, Reach Recruiting included. An agency recruiter can put you forward only for roles a client has hired it to fill. If the restaurant group you want is not a Reach Recruiting client this month, the agency cannot help with that job, however good your resume is.
How Reach Recruiting works for employers
On the employer side, Reach Recruiting's pages, as HiringReach read them, describe a search-and-vet service with a replacement guarantee. The Reach Recruiting Clients FAQ says it finds candidates through "our expansive database of potential hires," active outreach to people "already performing at high levels in other organizations," and social media, naming the Instagram account @angelatherecruiter.
- Process: learn the business culture and the role, search, vet, then "present only the most qualified and EXCITED individuals to you."
- Guarantee: "A 90-day guarantee or a replacement for free," per the Reach Recruiting homepage.
- Price: not published. The FAQ says pricing "varies depending on the specific needs of your business and the role to be filled," and asks employers to get in touch for a quote.
Employers comparing sourcing routes may also want HiringReach for employers, a separate tool that shows job seekers who already wrote to your hiring managers. It is on a waitlist and is not a recruiting agency.
Is Reach Recruiting legit?
HiringReach's read is that Reach Recruiting looks like a real, working agency on every check a job seeker can run from outside. Each point below comes from Reach Recruiting's own pages or its LinkedIn page, as captured on October 2, 2026:
- A street address in Chandler, AZ on every page, and a LinkedIn company page with named employees.
- A named team with work histories you can check against their LinkedIn profiles.
- A live job board with dated listings, the most recent dated September 2026.
- No candidate fee. The Reach Recruiting FAQ says employers pay, which matches what the FTC says honest placement firms do.
- Reviews on Google, shown on its homepage through a Trustindex widget. Those are reviews Reach Recruiting chose to display.
Two Reach Recruiting claims are self-reported and HiringReach has not verified them: "over 250 candidates" placed since 2017, and the description of its partner agency as "America's leading hospitality recruiting agency" in Jacob Cole's bio. A legit agency is not the same as a good fit for you. That depends on whether it recruits for your level and sector, covered below.
Red flags for recruiters: how HiringReach suggests checking Reach Recruiting or any agency
HiringReach's checklist for any recruiter, Reach Recruiting included, is built on the FTC's own guidance on job placement scams. The FTC says "Honest placement firms do not typically charge a fee to job candidates," and tells you to walk away if a placement firm asks you for a fee, above all one you have to pay in advance. The red flags:
- A fee to you. Reach Recruiting says it charges candidates nothing. Anyone using its name who asks you for money is not following its own published terms.
- The wrong email domain. Six firms share the Reach name. A message about hospitality roles that comes from a domain not on the Reach Recruiting site deserves a second look.
- A check to deposit. The FTC says no honest employer will send you a check and ask you to send part of it back. That is a fake check scam.
- Outdated or invented openings. The FTC warns that some placement firms "promote outdated or fake job openings." Ask the recruiter for the employer's name once you are past the first call.
- Vague answers about the role. A real agency recruiter can tell you the level, location and pay range, even before naming the client.
The FTC also suggests searching the company or person's name with the words "scam," "review" or "complaint" before you share personal details. HiringReach keeps a longer list of warning signs in its guide to spotting and reporting fake job postings.
Is Reach Recruiting worth it for your job search?
HiringReach's answer is that Reach Recruiting is worth a resume submission if you work in restaurant or hospitality leadership, because it costs you nothing and its board is full of manager and chef roles. Fit, from what Reach Recruiting publishes:
- A good fit if you are a restaurant manager, general manager, chef, culinary director, food and beverage manager or hospitality operator, and you are open to roles in the states its clients hire in. Its recruiters' Hillstone and multi-unit backgrounds mean they know what those operators look for.
- Not the fit if you work outside hospitality, if you want one specific employer that is not its client, or if you need to move this month and cannot wait for a matching search to open.
Use an agency like Reach Recruiting alongside your own search, not instead of it. HiringReach's guide to recruiter databases and when to contact the hiring manager instead explains the trade-off between agency recruiters, in-house recruiters and the person who owns the role.
Reach Recruiting vs HiringReach
Reach Recruiting and HiringReach share a word and nothing else. Reach Recruiting works for employers: a restaurant group pays it to fill a role, and it brings candidates to that client. HiringReach works for you: you pick the company and role you want, HiringReach suggests the person most likely to own it, or you add a name you already have, and the title match is labelled a guesstimate. When an email or mobile is found it is triple-verified, and a reveal that finds nothing is not charged. You send one short note from your own inbox. For a hospitality job seeker, that means you can write to the director of operations at a restaurant group whether or not it uses an agency. The HiringReach walkthrough for finding the hiring manager behind a posting shows how.
HiringReach pricing, from the plans on the HiringReach homepage: a 7-day Starter trial with a card required and $0 today. The trial includes one Guess the owner, and AI is capped at 2 job reads, 2 resume scores and 2 rewrites. Revealing a work email ends the trial and starts HiringReach Starter at $49 a month for 20 work emails. If you never reveal a work email, cancel before day 8 and you are not billed. HiringReach Pro is $99 a month for 40 work emails and 10 mobiles, and mobiles are not in the trial. HiringReach has no phone app. Other recruiters, programs and tools HiringReach has looked at are in the HiringReach reviews of job search tools and services, including the reacHIRE returnship review for the other "reach" name people mix up.
