How this review was made: it is based on the company's own published pages, read on September 1, 2026, with every price quoted as displayed that day. We did not pay for or test the product hands-on, and we say plainly where their pages left a question unanswered. One more thing you should weigh: we build HiringReach, a competitor. We think the comparison below is fair, and you should judge our bias for yourself.
What Sales databases Is
There is a do-it-yourself route to hiring managers: buy a seat on a business-to-business sales database and prospect your own next boss. The data is real and the per-email price is low. This page is the honest version of that plan: what each tool costs, what its terms say, and the six jobs the tools leave entirely to you. Prices below are as displayed on each vendor's pricing page on September 1, 2026; euro prices are left in euros.
The process these tools leave out is teachable: identify the manager who owns the role, write the one email that gets answered, and run it as a method rather than a lookup. The suites that try to bundle some of this are in our WonsultingAI review and our Careerflow review.

What It Does Well
- The raw unit economics: verified work emails from a few cents each, far below any job-seeker product.
- Real search filters: title, company size, industry, location, the same targeting professional recruiters use.
- Some publish honest billing rules, like SignalHire charging a credit only when a contact is returned.
Where It Falls Short
- Every one of these tools is built and licensed for sales teams; none of their interfaces, onboarding, or terms contemplate a job seeker.
- Several terms of service prohibit sharing or reusing the data beyond your own internal use, and none of them offers guidance on outreach to hiring managers.
- You do the targeting, the title guessing, the message writing, the follow-up cadence, and the call preparation alone, in a tool that assumes you already know how.
- Seats are priced for professionals who prospect all year, not for a 90-day search.
Who It Fits, and Who It Does Not
A good fit: A job seeker with recruiting or sales-ops experience who genuinely enjoys running their own prospecting stack and needs nothing but raw data.
A poor fit: Everyone else. Most people do not need a database seat. They need the right manager, a verified line to them, the message, the follow-up, and the call handled as one system.
Our Verdict
We know these tools well, because decades of staffing and recruiting work sit behind how HiringReach was designed, and sales databases are what that world uses. They are excellent at what they are for. What they are not is a job-search method: no targeting help, no coaching, no cadence, no plan for the conversation, and terms written for a different buyer. Data without a process is homework. The process is the product.

Sales databases vs HiringReach
You do not want unlimited. You just need a job, which means one manager saying yes. Here is the same set of questions asked of both products. Their column reflects what their public pages state; ours reflects what we built.
| Sales databases | HiringReach |
|---|---|
| Who it finds. Anyone in a B2B database, if you construct the search correctly yourself | Hiring managers who own the role, filtered by title, company size, industry, and location |
| Work email. Yes, cheaply; quality rules vary by vendor | Yes, triple-verified through multiple independent data providers |
| Mobile phone. Some tiers, at 2 to 10 times the email price | Yes. No other job-search platform we reviewed offers the hiring manager's mobile |
| Metering. Credits priced for year-round sales prospecting | A stated monthly allowance of new people and reveals. No unlimited anything, on purpose |
| Charged on failure. Varies; some charge per attempt, some per hit | No. A reveal that verifies nothing does not count |
| Outreach. None. You are the sequence | Written for one person at a time, sent from your own inbox |
| Coaching. None | Conversation playbooks and objection handling for the call that follows |
| Price. Roughly $39 to $99 a month for entry tiers, as displayed Sept 1, 2026 | A 90-day sprint that starts when you send your first outreach, then an on-the-job phase after you land |
HiringReach is in early access. The method is direct: find the manager who owns your role, reach them with a triple-verified contact, and handle the conversation that follows, inside a 90-day plan shaped by decades of staffing and recruiting experience.
